coming soon… a resource hub for designers

Are you a product designer, an interior designer, a designer of any tupe? Then you are in the right place to be able to find craftspeople who can help you bring your designs to life. If you stumbled on this page in early January then please bookmark this page and return in a few weeks. I accidentally pressed publish and this website is still VERY much under construction. But soon you will be able to find some of the best Bay Area Crafts and Fabrication talent right here on these digital pages.

You will be able to find woodworkers, a wood turner, metal fabricators, glassmakers, ceramicists and a wonderful textile lady (I wasn’t originally going to include textiles but you need someone for all the soft things to frame the harder surfaces that you’ll have created.. and I stumbled on this wonderful lady who makes something so special with upholstery fabric… later.. I’ll tell you all about it later)

There will also eventually be a little shop, not a big overwhelming one but a little curated ACTUALLY locally & uniquely handmade one. It will be value for money but it likely will be expensive as all the makers included in the curated and featured section of this directory are highly skilled, with knowledge honed over decades.

It’s amazing that we have them here at our fingertips. It would be a shame to lose them. This directory will exist to help keep hold of the talent we have.

more from me in another post. Please subscribe with your email. I will keep it as safe as I can. Initially there will be a LOT of activity on this site, but once everything settles in the email alerts should only bother you maybe a couple of times a week. Let’s talk about it. Do you like updates often or less often? Regular or when I have a spurt of inspiration ?
